Spend a month living at Hopeland, an educational eco-community in southern Greece, alongside 18 volunteers from across Europe. Guided by the Hopeland crew, you’ll immerse yourself in communal life, roll up your sleeves, and contribute to the project’s growth. Expect hands-on tasks that improve sustainability practices, enhance the space, and spark creativity. Beyond physical work, you’ll also have the chance to strengthen your digital skills and learn how to use content creation for social impact.
Accommodation, Food & Transport
Living arrangements: Most volunteers stay outdoors in shared teepee tents (4 people per tent), furnished with beds and small storage. Facilities include 2 outdoor toilets, 2 outdoor showers, and 2 compost toilets around the site. More details are available in the infopack.
Kitchen & dining: Meals are prepared and eaten communally in a dedicated kitchen building and covered dining area.
Transport: A van is available for use upon coordination with the project leader.
Participant Profile
We are welcoming 18 participants to ensure cultural diversity. Applicants should:
Be between 18–30 years old (not older than 30 on the project start date).
Be legal residents of Erasmus+ programme countries (no visa required for Greece).
Be prepared to live in a rural setting with basic facilities.
Be open to sharing space, responsibilities, and decision-making in a communal environment.
Enjoy practical tasks such as gardening, building, cooking, and cleaning.
Be motivated to improve digital literacy and learn how to create content with social impact.
Show initiative, commitment, and a willingness to contribute to society.
Priority will be given to those who have faced challenges in life.
Volunteers with media skills (photography, filmmaking) are especially welcome to document the experience and support Hopeland’s digital outreach.
📌 Important Note: Hopeland is not a retreat or therapy center. If you are dealing with personal struggles that require professional support, please seek help before joining.
We also cannot provide resources for managing addictions. The work can be physically demanding, involving gardening, eco-building, and other manual tasks, so a certain level of fitness is required. This is not a holiday—it’s an opportunity for growth through shared living and meaningful work.
Activity Dates: 16 July 2026 – 3 September 2026
