An international Erasmus+ Training Course bringing together 24 participants will take place in Oslo, Norway, from 14 to 19 September 2026. The programme is designed to improve the quality of Erasmus+ Youth Exchange projects by strengthening facilitation methods, learning processes, and approaches that encourage active youth participation.
A Practical Training Experience for Better Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges
Successful youth exchange projects rely not only on well-designed activities but also on effective educational methods and well-managed group dynamics. For this reason, the Tools for Youth Exchanges (TYE) training course offers a practical learning environment where participants can refine their existing knowledge while discovering innovative approaches for international youth work.
Throughout the programme, participants will have the opportunity to share their own practices, test new educational tools, and adapt proven methodologies to their local realities and future Erasmus+ projects.
What Will Participants Experience During the Training?
During the course, participants will:
- Present and exchange educational methods they already use in youth work.
- Test different facilitation techniques and analyze their strengths and areas for improvement.
- Explore practical tools that support positive group dynamics and learning processes.
- Develop creative methodologies suitable for Erasmus+ Youth Exchange activities.
- Collaborate with international peers to design and improve innovative educational practices.
Rather than providing ready-made solutions, the training encourages participants to experiment, evaluate, redesign, and co-create practical tools that can be directly implemented in future projects.
A Learning Process Based on Non-Formal Education
The programme follows the principles of non-formal education, emphasizing learning through experience rather than traditional classroom teaching. Participants will engage in practical exercises, reflection sessions, peer feedback, and collaborative redesign activities.
This hands-on approach aims to ensure that newly acquired methods can be effectively transferred into future Erasmus+ Youth Exchange initiatives and local youth work activities.
Competences Participants Are Expected to Develop
By the end of the training, participants are expected to strengthen several key competences, including:
Improved Understanding of Group Processes
The programme seeks to increase awareness of how groups develop and how facilitators can effectively support these processes during international youth exchanges.
Better Learning Design and Facilitation Skills
Participants will enhance their ability to design, organize, and facilitate educational activities within Erasmus+ Youth Exchange projects.
Using the Right Educational Tools at the Right Time
Special attention will be given to learning recognition methods, feedback techniques, debriefing processes, and educational instruments such as Youthpass, enabling participants to make learning outcomes more visible.
Promoting Intercultural Learning and Youth Participation
The course explores methodologies that encourage dialogue, intercultural understanding, inclusion, and active participation among young people from diverse backgrounds.
Enhancing the Quality of Erasmus+ Projects
Working with practical examples and collaborative exercises, participants will gain valuable experience in designing more sustainable, impactful, and high-quality international youth exchange projects.
Who Can Participate?
Applicants are expected to:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be involved in activities that support young people’s participation in international projects.
- Have a sufficient command of English, which will serve as the working language throughout the training.
