Applications for the Hansen Leadership Institute (HLI) 2026 are now being accepted.
This prestigious summer program, hosted in San Diego, California, is designed for young changemakers who are passionate about driving positive impact in their communities, countries, or regions.
Formerly known as the Hansen Summer Institute, the program will run from July 1 to July 22, 2026.
No IELTS or TOEFL scores are required to apply. However, applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, as the program involves active participation in discussions and collaborative sessions.
A letter of recommendation from an academic advisor is required to confirm your English proficiency.

✅ Who Can Apply?
Aged between 20 and 25 as of July 1, 2026
Completed at least one year of university or college
If not currently enrolled, must have graduated in 2024 or 2025
Demonstrated leadership experience in your community, country, or region
Able to provide a recommendation letter verifying English proficiency
Must hold a valid international passport
