Ireland , Donegal : 5 Days Erasmus+ Study Visit

Ireland , Donegal : 5 Days Erasmus+ Study Visit

Objectives of the Study Visit:

To promote the social model approach in youth work, facilitating the inclusion of neurodivergent youths with FASD into a wider variety of groups and clubs.

Innovative methods will be utilized throughout the visit to address the subject matter.

Group workshops exploring FASD using Edward De Bono’s Six Thinking Hats.

Eight Magic Keys – Planning for youths with FASD.

Peer learning during group discussions on personal experiences in this field.

Question and Answer session with parents of youths with FASD participating in Donegal Youth Service.

Field visit to a local educational provider.

Opportunity to join “Our Group,” a social group for youths with neurodiversity at Donegal Youth Services.

A visit to Glenveagh National Park will also be organized to create a discussion opportunity for the study visit participants.

The expected outcome is that youth workers will leave the program better equipped to support individuals with FASD and work with them effectively.

Additionally, the visit will be conducted in conjunction with two of the 11 European Youth Goals:

Space and Participation for All and Inclusive Societies, summarizing the issues affecting youths in Europe and the political priorities significant to them.

The visit will take place from June 9 to 13.

Expenses are covered.
