ESC Project - Short Term
France : 14 Days Volunteering Project

France : 14 Days Volunteering Project

Are you passionate about environmental conservation and wildlife preservation? Join us in discovering the LOANA association, dedicated to safeguarding biodiversity in Lorraine!

For two weeks, our team of nature enthusiasts and naturalists invites you to contribute to the upkeep of vital natural sites and the creation of habitats for essential species in the region, including birds, amphibians, and plants.

Engage in meaningful work while bonding with volunteers from around the world amidst the serene green landscapes! The LOANA association is committed to studying and nurturing the fauna and flora of our region, while also promoting public awareness about environmental conservation.

Through a combination of passion and expertise, we implement concrete actions on the ground to protect and manage our ecosystems.

On this project, you’ll have the opportunity to work on various natural sites managed year-round by LOANA, creating an itinerant workcamp experience!

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD, AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

You’ll be housed in tents at the Favières leisure center, equipped with restroom facilities. Remember to bring your sleeping bag and mattress.

In line with our environmental ethos, all meals feature seasonal, local, and organic ingredients.

Volunteers will collectively manage all aspects of daily life, including shopping, meal preparation, and cleaning, based on mutually agreed-upon operations. A collective life animator will assist in organizing these tasks.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Throughout the workcamp, you’ll engage in various tasks such as maintaining ponds to protect species vulnerable to drought, crafting and installing bird nest boxes, and preserving an educational trail dedicated to orchids, among other surprises.

Each mission will be supervised by a LOANA association staff member. Workdays are scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, while Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays are designated for rest and leisure.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Basic English proficiency is required for effective communication with your team and facilitators. Your motivation statement should be written in English.
