Programme Overview
This international learning programme is intended for individuals who are actively engaged in working with young people and seek to strengthen their capacity to support mental well-being, emotional balance, and resilience among youth.
The training follows an experiential and practice-driven approach, aiming to enhance both professional awareness and applied competencies.
During the programme, participants will examine the role of mental health within youth work settings and explore effective ways to cultivate safe, supportive environments while operating within appropriate professional boundaries.
Framework and Methodology
Mental health is addressed through a preventive and capacity-building lens. The programme does not cover clinical practices such as diagnosis, treatment, counselling, or therapy, as these fall outside the scope of youth work responsibilities.
Instead, the focus lies on empowering youth workers with practical strategies and everyday tools that can be integrated into their regular work to promote young people’s emotional and psychological well-being.
Expected Learning Results
Upon completion of the training, participants will have the opportunity to:
Reframe their understanding of mental health in both personal and professional contexts
Recognise the central importance of mental well-being in youth-related work
Clearly define the role and limits of youth workers in supporting mental health
Gain hands-on methods applicable to daily interactions with young people
Discover adaptable tools and resources suitable for organisational use
