Project Overview The Asino chi Legge social farm in Nettuno is set to host a project that embraces the philosophy of creating a nurturing space for self-expression, honoring diversity, and celebrating individuality.
This open-air learning sanctuary offers a valuable growth experience for youth interested in forging connections with disabled individuals. The primary responsibilities of volunteers include:
Engaging with disabled individuals to foster a supportive environment,
Learning to assist in the development of independence skills,
Participating in pet therapy sessions with donkeys,
Acquiring knowledge about life on an educational farm,
Practicing ethical living in harmony with nature and managing an organic garden,
Cultivating and embodying sustainable living principles,
Managing social media platforms,
Embracing life and learning within a multicultural and diverse team.
Accommodation, Food, and Transportation
The project runs from June until mid/end August 2024.
Volunteers will stay in a shared apartment in NETTUNO, with double rooms, a shared bathroom, and a communal kitchen-living area.
Amenities include Wi-Fi, kitchenware, and bed linens. Volunteers may also receive a bicycle for personal use.
If necessary, public transportation is available to commute to the farm alongside other team members. Each volunteer will be granted a monthly allowance of 330€ for pocket money and food expenses.
Training During the Activity Volunteers will have access to an Online Learning system for educational purposes. Those interested can delve deeper into the workings of the Erasmus+ and ESC projects.
Participant Profile
The project seeks a young individual, regardless of gender, eager to immerse in an educational journey amidst nature, animals, and people with special needs.
It welcomes those curious about the realm of intellectual disabilities, eager to learn about diverse abilities and social work.
The ideal participant is someone looking to embrace a unique experience shaped by the dynamics of the surrounding environment and community life. Candidates should be capable of outdoor work in warm conditions and not have severe allergies to animals or bees for safety reasons.
