Alianza-ActionAid Spain and FITT seek a team of young individuals to enhance assistance for Ukrainian refugees from a gender perspective. Join us at the FITT headquarters in Timisoara!
You’ll collaborate with Ukrainian refugees, particularly women and children, in various activities such as accompanying, educational tasks, artistic projects, and more, to reinforce the gender approach in interventions.
Additionally, you’ll conduct workshops on topics of interest with a gender perspective for the local community.
Volunteers will work in a team of 10 people for 2 months, gaining experience in implementing activities from a gender perspective, collaborating in an international team, and executing their own ideas.
This opportunity is open to migrants, refugees, individuals from rural areas, those with limited economic support, or anyone interested!
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Volunteers will be housed in our comfortable Youth House, where most activities will take place, in twin rooms (2 or 3 single beds).
Meals will be the volunteers’ responsibility, with access to a shared kitchen and a monthly allowance. Additionally, volunteers will receive a monthly pocket money allowance (5 EUR/day) and health insurance (Henner). Airport pickup and public transport subscriptions will be provided.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Volunteers will undergo pre-departure training in Madrid covering ESC orientation, responsibilities, YouthPass, Henner insurance, motivation, and feminist principles.
On-arrival training in Timisoara will familiarize volunteers with local realities, work specifics, schedules, rights, obligations, and team dynamics. Additional training on facilitation, marketing, or event production will be offered. Volunteers will have access to online language training (OLS).
