Länsi-Saimaa 4H-association is a small non-profit youth organization that provides leisure activities for children and young people aged 6-28.
They are currently seeking 2-3 short-term volunteers for their “Event Production and Day Camps” project during the spring season.
In collaboration with various partners, the organization plans to organize and execute several events in May, followed by day camps for children aged 7-12 in June.
Volunteers will mainly be responsible for planning and running these activities and day camps.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD, AND TRANSPORT
Volunteers will be accommodated in their own apartment located in Taavetti village, which includes a small kitchen, toilet, and shower.
Accommodation will be shared with other volunteers.
Food expenses will be covered, and volunteers will primarily prepare their meals.
Taavetti is situated in the municipality of Luumäki, Finland, with a population of 4,562 residents.
The village has a bus station, and the nearest railway station is in Kouvola. Helsinki Airport, approximately 200 km away, serves as the closest airport to Taavetti.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
The ideal volunteer profile includes a passion for working with children, basic English language skills, a willingness to learn new things, an interest in social media communication and photography, and some cooking abilities.
