Open Call for Young Human Rights Advocates and Activists
We invite young human rights advocates and activists from across the globe to join the Youth Rights Academy in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 7-11, 2025.
Organized by OHCHR and Education Above All, this academy offers a unique opportunity, with all travel and accommodation costs in Geneva covered by the organizers.
Applications are now open for the 2025 OHCHR – EAA Youth Rights Academy in Switzerland. The Youth Rights Academy is organized by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and Education Above All (EAA).
This program aims to enhance the leadership skills and capacities of young human rights advocates and practitioners, especially in contexts of conflict and insecurity.
Participants will explore youth rights and issues, and will be empowered to use advocacy to promote human rights within their communities.
Scope of Work
Participants of the Youth Rights Academy will be expected to:
Actively cooperate with OHCHR and EAA on logistical aspects related to travel and participation, ensuring that all requested information and documents are provided accurately and on time.
Commit to attending all academy sessions, completing assignments, and actively participating in discussions and extracurricular activities.
Utilize the knowledge and skills gained from the academy to design and implement human rights initiatives in their communities.
Maintain communication with EAA and OHCHR, providing updates and reports on the implementation of their initiatives after completing the academy.
Expenses and Benefits
The organizers will cover the costs of international travel to and from Geneva for participants.
Accommodation and meal expenses during the academy will be covered by the organizers.
