Description
This year’s Europe Week project, “30 YEARS TOGETHER,” is dedicated to celebrating Sweden’s 30-year membership in the European Union. Local volunteers and current ESC volunteers will be joined by 15 youth to help implement various activities across Jönköping.
The goal is to explore the benefits of EU cooperation for its members and their partners. By participating in this ESC Volunteering Teams project, volunteers will:
Enhance their event management skills by taking on different roles in marketing, social media, outreach activities, resource management, event logistics, communications, etc., throughout Europe Week 2025.
Develop a deeper sense of citizenship by actively engaging in the education and promotion of EU membership, its benefits, and related topics.
Improve their intercultural communication skills by collaborating with a diverse team in a European context.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements
During the activities, volunteers will be provided with:
Accommodation (initially at Brittebo campsite, followed by a shared facility in Jönköping)
A public transport card (unlimited rides within the Jönköping-Huskvarna zone)
Complimentary health insurance (in addition to a European Health Insurance Card)
Food and pocket money
Reimbursement for travel costs (return trip) up to a certain limit based on the distance
Youthpass certificate of participation
Participant Profile
Ung Fritid is looking for 13-14 international volunteers and 1-2 local volunteers who are:
Open-minded and tolerant towards different backgrounds and abilities
Willing to take the initiative to plan, organize, implement, and/or evaluate local activities
Ready to work independently as well as in international teams
Willing to engage in learning opportunities during volunteering
Capable of understanding and expressing themselves in basic English
