Description
Alianza-ActionAid Spain and FITT are seeking a team of young individuals to enhance the support provided to Ukrainian refugees from a gender perspective.
Join us at the FITT headquarters in Timisoara! This project offers the opportunity to work with an international team assisting Ukrainian refugees, particularly women and children.
Activities will include providing support, engaging in educational and artistic group tasks, reinforcing the gender approach in interventions, and conducting workshops on topics of interest with a gender perspective for the local community. Volunteers will work as a team of 10 people for 2 months.
By the end of this experience, you will be able to implement activities from a gender perspective, work effectively in an international team, and bring your own ideas to life.
If you are a migrant, refugee, live in rural areas, have limited economic support, or face any other circumstances, don’t hesitate to sign up—this opportunity is for everyone!
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements
You will be housed in our comfortable Youth House. Meal preparation will be the volunteers’ responsibility, with a shared kitchen provided and a monthly food allowance.
Additionally, volunteers will receive a daily pocket money allowance of 5 EUR/day for personal expenses. You will also benefit from health insurance (Henner).
Volunteers will be picked up at the airport by a member of the FITT staff and will be provided with public transport subscriptions in Timișoara.
Training During the Activity
Volunteers will undergo pre-departure training organized by Alianza in Madrid, covering topics such as the ESC program, responsibilities, YouthPass, Henner insurance, motivation, feminist principles, and more.
Upon arrival, FITT will conduct an orientation training that will include information about Timisoara, specifics of the work, schedules, rights and obligations, and team integration.
Additional trainings will be offered on facilitation, marketing, and logistics/events production. Volunteers will also have access to free online language training (OLS).
