About ISFiT
ISFiT (The International Student Festival in Trondheim) is recognised as the world’s largest international festival created by and for students. Held every two years, the event welcomes students from across the globe to engage in meaningful discussions, interactive workshops, debates, artistic performances, and cultural activities focused on today’s most important global challenges.
The next edition of the festival will take place from 11 to 21 February 2027 in Trondheim, Norway, transforming the city into an international hub where students, ideas, cultures, and innovation come together.
Theme: Changing Winds
The central theme of ISFiT 2027, “Changing Winds,” encourages participants to reflect on a rapidly evolving world influenced by political transformation, climate change, social developments, and shifting global dynamics. It also highlights the responsibility and potential of young people to actively shape a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future.
Throughout the festival, participants will exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and collaborate with students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds while building lasting international friendships and networks.

This biennial event will be held in Trondheim, Norway, from 11-21 February 2027
The theme for this year is “POWER.” Participants will engage in workshops, debates, and cultural exchanges, contributing their perspectives on this theme. ISFiT will cover food and accommodation, with additional financial support available if necessary.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to all university students and recent graduates worldwide.
No age limit, provided the applicant is over 18 and a student.
Proficiency in English is required, but no formal certification is needed.
Participants must commit to attending the entire duration of the festival.
Expenses and Benefits
No application or participation fee.
ISFiT will provide food and accommodation in Trondheim.
Travel costs to and from Norway and other personal expenses are not covered, but financial support can be requested during the application process.
Selected participants will receive an invitation letter to assist with obtaining a Schengen visa for Norway.

Financial support is limited, so applicants should carefully consider their need before applying. Requests for financial assistance can be made during the application process without initial documentation. If selected, further details will be requested.
