Description
The Acarbio association and the Marine Protected Area of Punta Campanella are collaborating to preserve the local environment and cultural heritage.
We are seeking 10 participants aged 18 to 30 for a project focused on environmental protection and monitoring in AMP Punta Campanella, Baia di Ieranto, and Monte Faito, Monti Lattari Regional Park.
Volunteers will engage in various maintenance tasks for trails and historic structures, helping to preserve these ancient landmarks that attract thousands of tourists annually and provide a green and blue oasis for the local community.
Additionally, volunteers will participate in environmental protection activities such as trail cleaning and tree planting. Please note that arrival and departure dates are 05/11 and 01/12.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements
Participants will stay in two apartments in Nerano, Massa Lubrense (NA), equipped with kitchens, toilets, and showers.
Volunteers will sleep in gender-divided rooms. We have established a set of rules for the accommodation, and we expect volunteers to adhere to them, including regular cleaning shifts, community cooking, and respectful behavior.
Food supplies will be provided. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to ESC guidelines. Volunteers will also receive €5 per day as pocket money.
Training During the Activity
Participants will learn to live together as a community, sharing daily duties and living sustainably like a family. They will also learn how to maintain and preserve local protected areas.
Participant Profile
Looking for motivated young people aged 18-30 who are interested in helping local communities through volunteering, conservation, environmental management, and social work.
We seek participants ready to embrace community living, not intimidated by living away from urban areas, and willing to get their hands dirty working in nature. Participants must be available for the entire activity period.
