Exciting Volunteering Opportunity for a Major Youth Festival in Sardinia
A vibrant team of volunteers is being assembled to support the smooth execution of an extraordinary youth festival combining sports, music, and culture in Sardinia, Italy, scheduled for May–June 2025.
This grand event, known as Ateneika, serves as Cagliari’s University Olympics, attracting thousands of young participants from across the island. The festival features intense sports tournaments during the day, followed by electrifying live concerts and engaging social activities in the evening.
Volunteers will play a crucial role in enriching the event’s intercultural spirit, assisting in its planning, coordination, and overall implementation. They will contribute by:
✅ Managing internal and external communications ✅ Providing logistical support for event operations ✅ Engaging with attendees and ensuring smooth participant experiences ✅ Facilitating cultural exchange and targeted activities ✅ Guiding young people on European volunteering programs
Accommodation, Meals & Transportation
🌍 Funded by the European Commission’s ESC program, covering a portion of travel expenses (based on the participant’s home country and official program guidelines).
🏠 Comfortable accommodation and meals fully provided throughout the festival. 🚆 Local transportation costs, where necessary, are covered for volunteers. 📌 Additional benefits include mentorship, monthly pocket money, and international medical insurance.
Training & Skill Development
📚 Volunteers will receive comprehensive training from the organizing team, covering:

Who Can Apply?
🎯 Ideal candidates should:
🔹 Be between 18–26 years old (exceptions may be considered)
🔹 Possess English proficiency (Italian language skills are a plus) 🔹 Be committed to the entire 21-day program duration 🔹 Demonstrate motivation to contribute meaningfully
🔹 Show teamwork skills in a multicultural setting 🔹 Be adaptable and eager to learn 🔹 Display a strong interest in intercultural exchange and communication 🔹 Possess media-related skills (optional but beneficial) 🔹 No specific expertise required, but additional abilities are appreciated
