What the Program Offers
💵 Financial Support Each participant will receive a CHF 3,600 stipend for the full 8-week period.
This amount includes accommodation expenses, which are deducted in advance. After housing is arranged, students will have approximately CHF 1,700 remaining for personal expenses.
🏠 Accommodation Students will be housed in Lausanne, within close proximity to the EPFL campus.
Most participants will have private rooms, while kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared with fellow students in the program. Please note that housing preferences cannot be customized.
✈️ Travel Reimbursement The program covers a significant portion of travel expenses.
Students traveling from overseas may be reimbursed up to CHF 1,000, while those coming from closer locations may receive up to CHF 500.
Participants assigned to laboratories in Geneva will receive an increased stipend to help offset both their travel to Switzerland and their commute to Geneva during the program.
Program Features
🔬 Research Experience Over the course of eight weeks, students will engage in hands-on laboratory research under the guidance of EPFL faculty and research staff.
🎓 Mentorship & Learning Opportunities Participants will benefit from mentorship, attend scientific lectures, and take part in Friday afternoon workshops focused on both scientific topics and personal development.
📢 Final Symposium The program concludes with a closing event where students present their research through poster sessions or oral presentations to peers and faculty members.
