The year-long engagement with OBESSU offers volunteers the opportunity to:
Gain valuable insights into school student activism and related topics such as membership, communications, and educational policy.
Develop competencies and skills in the areas of membership, outreach, and communication.
Create an impact on society by actively participating in OBESSU activities and processes, with a special focus on the European Parliament Elections.
Shape their own learning path and contribute to shaping the strategic approach of the organization through a mutual exchange of ideas with the leadership.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The participant will receive a financial subsidy of up to 1125 EUR per month, covering accommodation, local travel costs, food, and pocket money.
OBESSU will assist the volunteer in finding accommodation in Brussels. Travel costs to and from Brussels, up to 360 EUR, will be covered by OBESSU, following the Erasmus+ distance calculator. Health insurance is included for the entire volunteering period, and the volunteer must ensure they have a European Health Insurance Card.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Volunteers will undergo extensive training in the areas of the volunteering project and will be encouraged to explore other areas of interest for personal and professional development, accounting for up to 10% of their volunteering time.
They will also be prompted to enhance their linguistic competences through the Online Language training provided by the program.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
Young individuals aged between 18 – 30.
Interested in living in and experiencing a highly international context.
Enthusiastic about working with and for young people, specifically school students.
Motivated and creative individuals keen on school student organizing and youth participation.
Willing to develop sector-specific skills and competences in membership, outreach, and policy.
Adaptable to different situations and proactive in initiating their own projects.
