The Gender Equality Forum is an engaging platform uniting individuals to deliberate on vital gender equality topics within the EU.
Coinciding with a pivotal moment post-European Parliament elections and the anticipated new Commission, the Forum is a crucial opportunity to convey a compelling message to EU policymakers: the advancement of gender equality must remain a priority.
The Forum is a chance for Europe’s youth to voice their perspectives.
The discussions will revolve around two core themes:
Reflecting on the state of gender equality in Europe: present circumstances and projections for beyond 2025.
Addressing gender-based violence in the EU: examining persistent issues and emerging challenges, and exploring solutions.
The program is set to be diverse, featuring debates, workshops, masterclasses, and inspirational talks. The invitation extends to a broad spectrum of attendees, including EU institution representatives, civil society members, human rights advocates, artists, and more.
The event will be conducted in English and is accessible both in-person and online, with International Sign Language interpretation available for select sessions.
We encourage you to participate, either virtually or in Brussels, on December 10-11, 2024, to engage in meaningful conversations about the trajectory of gender equality in the EU leading up to 2030.
Your input and ideas are invaluable, contributing to a collective call for sustained equality.
The European Institute for Gender Equality is committed to emphasizing youth engagement at the Forum 2024, offering to fund up to 50 young attendees (ages 18 to 30) to join the event physically.
