Madrid will host a fully funded long-term volunteering project under the European Solidarity Corps, bringing together 10 international volunteers for a two-month experience focused on digital awareness, media literacy, and human rights.
The project is coordinated by Alianza por la Solidaridad-ActionAid Spain and aims to empower young people to actively fight online misinformation while promoting critical thinking and responsible digital communication.

About the Project
During the activity, volunteers will contribute to the creation and implementation of awareness campaigns addressing disinformation in digital spaces at both national and European levels.
Participants will receive practical and theoretical training in areas such as:
- Understanding misinformation and fake news in online environments
- Developing social awareness campaigns
- Creating communication and digital media materials
- Promoting human rights through digital platforms
- Strengthening critical thinking and media literacy skills
By the end of the project, volunteers will gain valuable experience in NGO work, campaign management, intercultural teamwork, and digital communication strategies.

Accommodation Details
Volunteers will stay in shared apartments located in the centre of Madrid together with participants from different countries. Accommodation expenses and utility bills will be fully covered by the hosting organisation.
Training & Learning Process
At the beginning of the project, volunteers will participate in orientation and training sessions covering:
- Introduction to the European Solidarity Corps
- NGO responsibilities and volunteering principles
- Human rights and due diligence
- Awareness campaign design
- Communication and digital tools
- Youthpass certification process
- Cultural integration and teamwork
- Online language support through OLS
