Project Description: ESC Project “RISE” in Croatia
The “RISE” project invites a team of 12 volunteers to engage with the local Croatian community.
“RISE” stands for Reinforcing Inclusion and Social Engagement. As part of this project, volunteers from different countries will collaborate with local citizens to create a positive impact. Here are the key aspects of the project:
Local Festival Participation:
Volunteers will participate in a local festival that promotes active citizenship among young people.
The volunteer team’s responsibilities include designing a volunteer campaign, organizing promotional activities, workshops, and providing information related to active citizenship, community work, and EU opportunities for young people.
Activities with Elderly People:
Volunteers will engage with elderly individuals from an elderly association.
They will also promote volunteering in primary schools and visit various non-profit organizations within the local community.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport:
Accommodation: Volunteers will stay in equipped and furnished apartments, sharing multi-bed rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
Daily Pocket Money: Each volunteer will receive 5 euros per day (90 euros in total).
Food Allowance: Volunteers will receive a total of 150 euros for food expenses.
Travel: The project covers the trip to Osijek for ESC service. Travel costs will be reimbursed if the volunteer participates in the entire project.
Training:
DKolektiv will provide essential education and training during the initial days of the project.
Volunteers will work with experts in volunteering and community development, including experienced youth workers.
Participant Profile:
Age: Volunteers must be between 18 and 30 years old.
Qualities: Empathy, solidarity, willingness to learn, adaptability, and effective communication skills in English.
