The Fortress of Culture Šibenik is a public cultural institution dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the city’s fortified heritage.
It ensures the sustainable use of these historic sites by hosting cultural events for both residents and visitors. Currently, the institution oversees St. Mihovil Fortress and Barone Fortress.
This volunteering project focuses on supporting fortress operations, contributing to community sustainability, and engaging in climate-related initiatives.
🎯 Volunteer Responsibilities
Assisting fortress staff with everyday tasks.
Helping with restoration and upkeep after the summer tourist season.
Promoting heritage-related content and guiding visitors on what to explore.
Taking part in climate action activities, such as local clean-up efforts.
🏠 Accommodation, Meals & Transport
Volunteers will stay at Hostel Globo in Šibenik for the entire project duration.
Three meals per day will be provided.
Each volunteer will receive 70 EUR pocket money upon arrival.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ distance calculator limits.
👤 Who We Are Looking For
We seek 14 volunteers from the EU, Western Balkans, Ukraine, Moldova, Norway, and Iceland. Ideal candidates should be:
Energetic, creative, and sociable.
Patient, adaptable, and comfortable working in multicultural teams.
English language skills are considered an advantage.
