Project Overview
This initiative seeks to form a Volunteering Team to assist in organizing an international event focused on youth work, participation, and volunteering, scheduled for October 2024 in Sardinia,
Italy. The “Connessioni” youth work conference will gather approximately 150 young activists, leaders, and workers from across Europe for a 5-day event.
Participants will engage in discussions on youth policies, develop projects, and share best practices, strategies, and ideas. Volunteers will dedicate 25 days to enhance the event’s value and intercultural dimension, aiding in its planning, execution, and evaluation.
Their roles will include supporting communication, logistics, information dissemination, participant engagement, and activity facilitation.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport
Funded by the European Commission’s ESC, the project covers part of the travel expenses (based on the distance between the participant’s home country and the venue), as well as food, accommodation, and local transportation where applicable.
Additionally, volunteers will receive mentoring, monthly pocket money, and international medical insurance.
Training Provided Volunteers will undergo on-site training by the coordinating organization, covering topics such as non-formal education, ESC and volunteering programs, cultural diversity and intercultural learning, conflict management,
Sardinian and Italian culture, project information, Youthpass and learning, and task-specific skills.

Proficiency in English
Availability for the full 25-day duration of the project
A volunteer spirit aligned with the ESC program
Motivation to contribute and make a difference
Ability to collaborate in an intercultural setting
Flexibility and willingness to learn and share knowledge
Interest in intercultural communication and dialogue
No special skills required, but additional skills are welcome
