This study visit aims to explore street work with young people in Cologne, Germany, focusing on the fundamental aspects of street work and engagement in specific projects within the municipality of Cologne.
The study will provide an overview of the local street work concept for young people in Cologne, Germany.
Participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the street work system, meet representatives from the Cologne municipality, and exchange experiences and best practices regarding working with young people who reside on the streets.
Additionally, participants will embark on a city tour to gain firsthand knowledge of the practical aspects of street work.
They will also gain insights into the German concept of “community work” as a methodology and learn about networking partners involved in street work initiatives. Furthermore, the program will include a session on online counseling and street work.
Ample time will be allocated for discussions to explore the variances in working with young people living on the streets among participating countries and municipalities.
The program will take place between 13-16 May.
This project is funded by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme.
Accommodation and food
The host institution will organize the accommodation and cover the accommodation and meal expenses.
Travel expenses will be covered within the scope of the project.
A Youthpass certificate will be given at the end of the program.
