USA New York 3-Day Youth Forum
Organized by the President of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the ECOSOC Youth Forum brings together young people from around the world to contribute to policy discussions with their unique expertise, innovative ideas, and practical solutions.
This forum provides representatives of youth-focused and youth-led organizations and networks with the opportunity to engage in dialogue with member states, advancing their development and contributions to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The forum will be held from April 15-17, 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA.
The ECOSOC Youth Forum will focus on a theme aligned with the 2025 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF):
“Advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Development Goals with sustainable, inclusive, scientific, and evidence-based solutions for all.”
Participation Support
The United Nations Youth Office will support 15 young people aged 18-35 to participate in the ECOSOC Youth Forum.
Applications will be evaluated by the United Nations Youth Office and its partners, with support from the Youth Reference Group.
The selection process will consider gender balance, geographic representation, and underrepresented youth groups. Priority will be given to applicants who have had limited or no previous engagement with the United Nations.
Additionally, we cannot sponsor young people currently under contract with the United Nations.

All applicants will be notified of their application status four weeks after the application deadline.
