LOF DIGITAL RESIDENCE is a program aimed at digitalizing rural areas, with a focus on a rural municipality.
Young participants will receive training before engaging in various practical activities such as 3D modeling, laser cutting, VR, sound, drone operation, and graphic design. Each group will work on a digital project.
Objectives:
Enhance the digital skills of young people to enable them to develop their projects and ideas in rural areas.
Foster a sense of initiative among participants by developing prototype solutions and entrepreneurial skills to address challenges faced by rural youth; create opportunities for collaboration and networking with peers from other rural areas.
Improve the digital competencies of young people, allowing them to develop their projects and ideas in rural settings while maintaining a global connection.
Develop a digital project aimed at enhancing a specific area within the province of Lugo (Council of Samos).
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements:
Accommodation: Provided at Lug2 Hostel in shared rooms.
Food: Included in the project, with special menus available.
Transport: Covered from the point of origin to Lugo and back (public transport), as well as for all project days.
Training During the Activity: Participants will receive daily training, either in-person or online. Before arriving in Lugo, they will have a team meeting with the online project mentor.
Participant Profile:
Preferably aged between 20 and 30.
Responsible and committed.
Respectful and eager to explore different cultures.
Willing to share personal experiences.
Keen to develop new skills and challenge themselves.
Proficient in English communication.
Motivated to learn and make a positive impact in their rural community.
Some knowledge of technology is preferred.
