“Our aim is to create a multifaceted approach to sustainable, creative, and simple living. Our focus areas include co-living, community work, natural building, and permacultural gardening.
The main topics we cover are establishing a social and educational farm, daily life on a farm, permaculture farming, natural building, local community assistance, sustainability, social permaculture (community living for a sustainable lifestyle), mental health and well-being in connection with nature, and adventure pedagogy.
We also collaborate with sustainable initiatives in Slovenia and Europe.
During autumn, our work centers around preparing the garden for winter (mulching, etc.), harvesting and storing food (fermenting, etc.), constructing a wooden barn, and assisting the local community.
Regarding accommodation, volunteers stay in private or shared yurts (with two people) equipped with an oven or electrical heating.
We use compost toilets (located near the yurts), and there’s a simple outdoor communal kitchen. In colder weather, we utilize the kitchen in our family house.
We maintain basic food supplies, but volunteers can add special requests to the shopping list. Our goal is to prioritize seasonal and local food whenever possible, ensuring a diverse range of options.
Transport costs are reimbursed according to ESC conditions.
During the activity, participants receive training in permaculture basics, natural building techniques, and the use of basic farm and construction tools.
We also cover topics such as a year-round garden overview, somatic exercises, non-violent communication basics, eco-psychology, and group dynamics.
Our ideal participants are those interested in sustainable living, natural building, ecological farming, and a simple lifestyle in nature without excessive luxury.
Most of our activities take place outdoors, including basic facilities like showers and toilets. This project is an opportunity for individuals seeking a deeper connection with nature and holistic well-being. Volunteers actively engage in our farm and organization projects while also pursuing their own interests.
The project runs from September 2, 2024, to November 15, 2024 (with some flexibility).
