As part of this volunteering mission, you will contribute to the VISIONEERS Coffee Farm by producing creative video and social media content that showcases sustainable coffee cultivation, environmental projects, and the social impact of the initiative.
You will document daily life on the farm, conduct interviews with local residents, and highlight the stories of young people, migrant workers, and the San Andrés coffee-growing community.
Your responsibilities include filming and editing videos for the VISIONEERS Café YouTube channel, creating engaging posts for Instagram and Facebook, developing innovative ideas for online campaigns, and covering workshops, trainings, and community events.
Working closely with the local team, you will identify inspiring narratives and help promote the mission of sustainable agriculture and social inclusion. This role is perfect for volunteers passionate about communication, storytelling, and making a meaningful difference.
🏡 Accommodation, Meals, and Transport
Volunteers will stay at VISIONEERS Finca, a sustainable coffee farm and community hub located in a remote rural area.
San Andrés is a small village surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and coffee fields.
Housing is simple and shared, offering basic comfort close to nature.
Meals are provided daily, prepared with fresh local ingredients.
Transport for project activities, airport transfers, and local mobility support is partially included.
📚 Training During the Mission
Before departure, you will complete an online training to prepare for volunteering in a rural environment.
Upon arrival in Costa Rica, you will join an induction covering safety guidelines, local customs, and cultural orientation.
Throughout the mission, you will receive training in sustainable farming, reforestation, environmental education, labor rights, and community engagement, supported by ongoing mentorship.
👤 Participant Profile
Applicants must submit a motivation letter specific to this project.
Age range: 18–30 years old.
Strong skills in video production, editing, and social media communication.
Creative, proactive, and eager to learn.
Comfortable with outdoor and physical work.
Interested in theatre or creative activities.
Driving license and own car are an advantage.
Acting experience is a plus.
English fluency required; Spanish highly desirable.
Volunteers should respect the farm’s values: no drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.
The staff team speaks Spanish, English, and German, ensuring strong support.
Participants must be adaptable, open-minded, and comfortable with simple living in a small countryside village surrounded by nature.
