Description
The Foundation for the Adaptation and Development of Bilingual Children and Youth, known as Bilingwo, is based in Poznań and focuses on supporting the unique needs of bilingual children and young people from Ukraine and Belarus, especially those with migratory backgrounds.
Our mission is to enhance integration, promote cultural exchange, and support personal growth while celebrating linguistic diversity.
Bilingwo organizes a variety of projects and events for children aged 3-12 and their families, including workshops, cultural activities, and educational programs to help them adapt to new environments.
Volunteers are essential to Bilingwo’s mission, contributing their skills to enrich workshops, mentor children, and support events.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Assisting children in the kindergarten
Managing reception documents
Creating materials for lessons
Supporting the winter camp
Helping at conferences for migrants and refugees
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements
Volunteers will be housed in single rooms within a student dormitory, with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. The dormitory is about a 15-minute walk from the office.
Volunteers will receive a fixed amount of pocket money and a food allowance. A city transport card will also be provided.
Training During the Activity
Volunteers can participate in Polish language classes offered by the organization. At the beginning of the project, volunteers will undergo a short training session to prepare them for their tasks.
Participant Profile
Seek volunteers who are passionate about working with children, possibly studying at the Faculty of Education.
Ideal candidates should be able to work with children with developmental disabilities, enjoy collaborating with diverse individuals, and care about the future of our world.
Volunteers should be open-minded, flexible, creative, eager to learn new things, responsible, and motivated. Knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian is beneficial.
