Known officially as the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, it operates as a tripartite organization, uniting government, employer, and employee representatives from within the EU.
Eurofound Traineeship Opportunities
Eurofound offers traineeship programs for recent graduates holding EU citizenship, committed to equal opportunity employment.
These traineeships are designed to provide candidates with the chance to fully engage and derive meaningful experience from their time at Eurofound.
Objectives of Eurofound’s In-Service Training:
To immerse fresh university graduates in the unique experience of Eurofound’s operations within the broader European and institutional framework.
To facilitate practical learning and insight into Eurofound’s daily functions.
To foster a diverse and inclusive environment that nurtures mutual respect, understanding, and tolerance.
To enhance European unity and governance, fostering a sense of authentic European identity through active engagement.
Compensation and Advantages:
A monthly stipend of €1,827, determined by the Executive Director, paid by mid-month.
Reimbursement for the most economical travel costs to and from Dublin upon submission of receipts.
After a minimum of six months, trainees receive a certificate detailing their training duration and department.
Trainees must have sickness insurance coverage or a valid European Health Insurance Card.
Disabled trainees may qualify for a grant increase up to 50% upon providing adequate justification, subject to HR and medical advisor review.
Traineeship Duration:
The standard traineeship lasts six months, with a possible extension of another six months for compelling business reasons. A second extension is not permitted.
