📖 Purpose of the Training
The primary aim of this course is to strengthen participants’ ability to diversify funding sources and to ensure a lasting, sustainable impact on young people.
Youth associations and youth workers hold a vital place in our communities.
The European Union continues to provide a wide range of grants and funding opportunities. Alongside regional and national schemes, many funds—particularly in Northern and Western Europe—remain underutilized.
🚧 Why Many Do Not Apply
Limited experience in drafting project proposals
Lack of confidence in personal skills or potential
Doubts about whether their project idea is valuable enough
Overestimating the complexity of funding calls
Feeling overwhelmed when reading funding guidelines
Postponing applications with the thought “I’ll apply when conditions are better”
Assuming the writing process takes far more time than it actually does
Overthinking the procedure and giving up too early
Not knowing where calls are published or what requirements exist
If you find yourself facing some of these challenges, this training might be exactly what you need.
🎯 Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will:
Gain an understanding of how the main EU funding streams (Erasmus+, CERV, Creative Europe, etc.) operate
Learn the application process and the differences between various calls
Develop the ability to “read” a funding call and quickly assess its potential
Build confidence in shaping project ideas and proposals aligned with funding objectives
Strengthen skills in preparing and interpreting budgets for applications
Acquire the courage to attempt writing proposals, regardless of the outcome
Receive practical tips and strategies for successful project writing
Draw inspiration from diverse youth work practices and their approaches to securing funds
Establish valuable connections and collaborations for future partnerships
📌 Training Approach
This program is designed with a practical, hands-on methodology. Instead of focusing on theory, participants will engage directly with the realities of funding.
Activities will include concise presentations, practical exercises, feedback sessions, and real case studies. The training is flexible and will adapt to participants’ needs, experiences, feedback, and group dynamics.
