Event Preview: The 2024 Youth Sustainable Development Conference is set to be a landmark occasion, making its debut in Rabat, Morocco, North Africa, on the 3rd and 4th of July, 2024.
This pivotal event is jointly presented by the African Youth Climate Centre and marks the premier annual gathering under the auspices of the Youth Sustainable Development Network (YSDN).
Conference Theme:
The theme for this year’s conference is “Building the Future – Elevating Youth-Driven Initiatives for Worldwide Sustainability.” The conference’s activities will unfold at the prestigious Hasan II International Environmental Education Centre in Rabat, Morocco.
Conference Significance: The YSDC stands as a crucial conduit for fostering synergies among global development entities, educational institutions, industry leaders, and policy-makers.
The conference is instrumental in orchestrating collective strategies that bolster youth-centric approaches towards realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on a global scale.
Historically, YSDC has been a nexus for over 1000 participants, showcasing upwards of 100 thought leaders and facilitating over 50 discussion forums.
Historical Context: The year 2024 celebrates the sixth successive YSDC, building upon the legacy of its predecessors. The previous conference, hosted at Emory University, was a seminal event, marking the institution’s first global dialogue on Energy since its inception in 1836.
