A transformative training that enables participants to promote mental health and well-being. Acquire tools through experiential learning, share insights, and build resilience in a supportive and courageous environment.
In a rapidly changing world where our relationships and ways of communication and interaction are constantly evolving, addressing the mental health of young people is more important than ever.
Youth workers in Europe play a crucial role in providing support and creating safe spaces for growth and development. Therefore, it is essential to equip those in support roles with the knowledge, tools, and peer networks necessary for their work.
This training addresses the increasing mental health challenges faced by young people, including the pressures of navigating complex social and digital environments.
It also takes a deeper step in understanding the challenges, needs, and realities of young people through self-directed learning, facilitated workshops, dialogue with youth, reflections, and peer support.
By the end of this training, participants will leave with a personalized toolkit of awareness and well-being strategies, increased confidence in addressing youth mental health, and a strong peer network.
Objectives of the Training:
Initiate a dialogue with professionals in the field of youth work about youth mental health issues
Provide a space for professionals in youth work to find responses to specific challenges related to youth mental health
Offer an immersive environment for the exploration of various well-being and mindfulness tools
Provide a platform for professionals in youth work to hear the voices, challenges, and improvement ideas of young people
Our Approach:
Mental health encompasses a wide range of knowledge, practices, approaches, and ways of working, and it is not possible to cover them all in three days.
However, a thorough and immersive exploration of various tools and practices will be conducted following different learning environments and tools: sensory, cognitive, emotional, and sensory-based learning processes will be facilitated to provide different learning strategies for different participants.
To achieve this, the following will be provided:
Immersive Learning: A full day will be dedicated to exploring practical mental health, well-being, and mindfulness tools to provide participants with applicable resources.
Direct Dialogue with Youth: A study visit will create opportunities for youth professionals to engage directly with young people, gaining new perspectives on their mental health needs, challenges, and desires.
Brave Space for Open Discussion: The program will prioritize creating a supportive or more courageous environment for participants to share their experiences, challenges, and solutions.
Inter-sectoral Collaboration: The training will offer opportunities to gain insights from mental health professionals, engage in direct dialogue with youth, and share perspectives with other youth work professionals.
Dates: 12–16 May 2025 (Arrival on 12 May, Departure on 16 May) All participants will be accommodated in single rooms.
