This volunteering opportunity entails working with children at Druskininkai Kindergarten “Žibutė.”
The volunteer will actively engage with children, initiate and organize community events, and provide assistance to teachers in their daily tasks, such as accompanying kids on walks, assisting during lunchtime, and preparing children for sleep.
The volunteer should possess a genuine willingness to work with children, along with qualities of patience and playfulness.
The overarching goal is to encourage the participation of young people in the social life of the Druskininkai community, providing them with skills, knowledge, and competencies for personal development.
The project also aims to enhance the volunteer’s employability for future opportunities and ensure a high-quality volunteering experience.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD, AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Organizers will reimburse travel costs up to a specified limit based on the volunteer’s country, in accordance with the EU Distance Calculator program.
Financial support, in the form of pocket money (5 EUR per day), and a food allowance will be provided by the organizer. The volunteer will be registered and receive free medical insurance through the ESC program called “Henner.”
During the volunteering period, the volunteer will share an apartment with two other volunteers, conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walk from the volunteering place. Each volunteer will have an individual room, while the kitchen and bathroom will be shared.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Tailored training and mentoring will be provided to the volunteer based on their needs.
The volunteer will be guided through the learning processes using YouthPass. A mentor and a tutor will assist with daily tasks, work responsibilities, and facilitate smooth integration into social life.

This community eagerly awaits a volunteer who is patient, kind, loves children, is active, initiative-driven, and self-motivated.
Adaptability to a new environment is crucial. Talents in arts and sports would be advantageous.
The project encourages the initiative of young people, allowing the volunteer to independently organize community activities with the assistance of the staff.
The volunteer will be empowered to arrange singing, dancing, sports activities, painting or crafting workshops, and DIY projects.
