Young Folks LV is a non-profit organization located in Riga, with a mission to cultivate a secure and supportive environment fostering the cognitive and creative skills of diverse target groups.
Our commitment revolves around promoting non-formal education and meaningful communication within a friendly community, creating a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere.
Since July 2014, Young Folks has stood as an NGO, proudly ranking among the most extensive and active youth organizations in Latvia.
We extend an invitation for participation in the TEAM VOLUNTEERING project within the youth organization Young Folks LV in Riga, Latvia, spanning 16 days.
Your contribution is sought to assist in managing an international camp for teenagers, spanning 4 nights and 5 days (hosting approximately 30-40 teenagers), and preparing a youth festival catering to 150-200 people.
The festival will encompass all clubs of the organization, varying age groups, featuring around 50 master classes, and orchestrating diverse events.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD, AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS:
- Location: At Liberty – the hostel in the center of Riga, where initial preparations for the camp and festival will take place. The hostel is conveniently situated next to the YoungFolks office and is positioned within the heart of the old town. Veczemju klintis – one of Latvia’s most picturesque locations, serving as the campsite nestled in the woods just 3 minutes away from the sea and stunning caves. Accommodation will be in provided tents, and a kitchen facility is available.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE:
We are seeking individuals aged 18 to 30, proficient in English, from 9 European countries.
Ideal candidates should have an interest in working with adolescents and young people using non-formal education methods, displaying a willingness to collaborate within an international team for a joint project.
Your competencies may vary, and it’s crucial to communicate precisely the skills you possess to ensure your volunteering efforts are effective and beneficial for the project.
