Program Overview:
Students participating in the upcoming summer internship program will collaborate with renowned researchers from the Graduate School of Science (GSS) in Tokyo. These experts will mentor students, guiding them to develop valuable research-related skills.
Beyond engaging in impactful research projects, the Japan internship program offers recreational activities, including visits to Japan’s landmarks and cultural sites. This not only enhances the overall experience but also provides valuable insights into Japanese culture.
Recognizing the importance of language for cultural immersion, the UTRIP summer internship program includes a comprehensive Japanese language course. This facilitates communication and fosters a deeper understanding of the local culture.
Furthermore, the program will include coursework covering various scientific fields, expanding participants’ knowledge horizons. Upon completion, students are expected to prepare a written report on their research project and deliver a presentation.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must have completed at least two semesters of the undergraduate program when applying.
- Should be planning to pursue higher education in the field of research.
- Prepared to participate in the UTRIP summer internship program for six weeks.
- Enrolled in undergraduate programs related to engineering, genetics, or natural sciences.
- If English is not the candidate’s native language, submission of TOEFL iBT/TOEFL PBT/IELTS scores is required.
