Founded in 2015, Il Circo Pace e Bene is an organization dedicated to social advancement.
Volunteers will contribute to the implementation of cultural, artistic, social, and tourism-related initiatives, often in collaboration with local municipalities.
The organization coordinates working groups in two towns and manages the Council of Entities for one municipality.
A key project currently under its leadership is RabArt, based in the small town of Sutera and funded by the Italian Ministry of Culture. In addition, Il Circo Pace e Bene partners with and supports several organizations and startups, including C&C, an innovative initiative focused on experiential tourism through its G.a.s. Lab – Sicilian Ancient Grains Museum.
Volunteers will also assist in organizing the Mi Fa Sol Festival, taking part in logistical and staff-related tasks.
🏠 Accommodation, Food, and Transport
Volunteers will receive a monthly pocket allowance and food support. Housing will be provided in an apartment located near Milena’s modern city center, close to the main working venue, Magazzino Culturale “Ex Oleificio”.
The apartment will be fully equipped to meet the volunteers’ needs and will be reserved exclusively for them.
Occasionally, the organization may host guests for institutional or professional reasons, but volunteers will be notified well in advance.
🎓 Training Opportunities
Participants will benefit from a structured training program, including a welcome session, Italian language lessons, reflection activities, self-assessment of competences, and a final evaluation meeting.
👥 Participant Profile
Preferred candidates are those motivated to work with disadvantaged youth and willing to engage in rural areas of Sicily. Volunteers should be proactive, positive, curious, open-minded, adaptable, and responsible.
