Project Description:
Looking for 6 participants aged 18 to 30 to join a sustainability and natural building project.
Located in the mountains of Tramonti, a village on the Amalfi Coast, this project involves finalizing an eco-building in the forest.
Participants will learn about living in nature, outdoor experiential learning, and sustainable practices.
It’s a chance to escape urban life and immerse yourself in nature while working and living in a community.
The project focuses on developing an eco center within a chestnut forest, along with seasonal activities like collecting fruits and vegetables from the community garden.
The project builds upon the work done in previous “Roots and Roofs” projects from 2023-2024.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport:
Participants will stay in an apartment with shared facilities, accommodating 3-4 people per room.
The work site is within walking distance, as is the nearest grocery shop. Food supply includes a monthly budget of 100 EUR, supplemented by fresh produce from the community garden and the organization’s community grocery.
Travel costs will be reimbursed according to ESC guidelines, with a slightly higher budget for Green travel. Training: Participants will receive guidance and training in natural building techniques and farming.
Learning outcomes include understanding sustainable living, permaculture principles, teamwork, community life, and resilience.
Participant Profile:
Looking for participants who embrace community living, are comfortable away from urban areas, and are willing to engage in hands-on work in nature. Previous experience is beneficial, and availability during the specified activity period is required.
Note that travel days are scheduled for September 25th and November 24th, with additional travel days available for Green travel.
