Aligned with the European Youth Strategy, this project aims to bolster the participation, empowerment, and social and civic engagement of young people by promoting and facilitating connections, relationships, and the exchange of experiences.
The project will involve a diverse group of young volunteers from various European countries in non-formal education activities focused on the social inclusion of individuals with fewer opportunities.
Specifically, the project seeks to enhance active citizenship and the physical and mental well-being of young people in disadvantaged rural areas. Main activities include:
Intercultural and intergenerational workshops
Mental health education and wilderness therapy
Leisure and recreational activities
These activities will take place in Terralba, a small town on the west coast of Sardinia, Italy.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements
Volunteers will be housed in a private residence with double rooms and shared common areas (kitchen, living room, and bathroom).
They will receive a daily allowance of 11.00 € (pocket money + food allowance) to cover board and other expenses. Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on the EU distance band.
Training During the Activity
Training includes General Online Training, Linguistic support, Pre-departure training, On-arrival training, and Annual European Solidarity Corps events.
Additional training on task-related skills, non-formal training on soft skills, conflict management, team building, and problem-solving will also be provided, along with other project-related training.
Participant Profile
Looking for volunteers aged 18-30 who are open-minded, possess good social skills, have an empathetic attitude, display positive energy, and show flexibility and adaptability.
They should be motivated to learn from intercultural experiences and challenges and be willing to support and cooperate with each other for a common purpose.
