Youth@Work Seminar: AI and the Future of Youth Employability
This seminar creates a supportive environment for participants to strengthen their understanding of Artificial Intelligence, develop digital and entrepreneurial skills, and reflect on how youth work can guide young people in building competencies for future careers.
Purpose of the Seminar
The Youth@Work Seminar is designed to help youth workers, educators, and participants grasp the fundamentals of AI and its influence on employability. It also aims to build their capacity to integrate AI responsibly, ethically, and effectively into youth work and entrepreneurship education.
The seminar provides a safe and engaging space to:
Enhance AI literacy
Explore digital and entrepreneurial competences
Reflect on how youth work can support young people in career development and skills navigation in the era of AI

By the conclusion of the seminar, participants will be able to:
Grasp the essentials of AI – Gain a realistic understanding of what AI is, how it functions, and its opportunities and limitations in youth work.
Boost AI literacy and digital competence – Apply DigComp 3.0 to critically and safely use digital technologies with young people, while considering ethics, inclusion, and security.
Encourage creativity and entrepreneurship in the AI age – Use EntreComp to explore how initiative, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills can be fostered through AI in youth work.
Connect AI with employability and skills – Examine how AI reshapes skill demands and work transitions for young people, focusing on practical implications for youth work.
Learn from real-world practices – Participate in study visits to Italian initiatives that link AI, digital innovation, skills development, and youth employability.
