ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
Volunteers will engage in supporting women and children integrated into the community, offering assistance tailored to their individual strengths. Volunteer activities encompass the following areas:
Providing support for women who are victims of violence.
Organizing entertainment activities for children and adolescents, along with assisting in artistic and creative workshops.
Participating in planning processes and actively contributing to decision-making.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD, AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS:
Accommodation will be provided at the headquarters of the il Faro social cooperative.
The organization ensures breakfast, lunch, and dinner at designated times. Public transport conveniently connects the offices, community areas, and laboratories. All offices are located near bus stops, while the reception facility for women with children is situated close to the central train station.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY:
Volunteers will have access to training sessions designed for staff, covering educational methodologies, care techniques, resilience-building strategies, and empowerment principles.
Additionally, volunteers will receive 20 hours of Italian language lessons per month. Outside of volunteer hours, participants can freely attend various artistic training courses.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE:
We seek individuals motivated to actively engage in community participation processes. Desired qualities include a predisposition for fostering human connections and a respectful demeanor. Violent behavior and drug use are strictly prohibited.
