Description
The training course aims to enhance the capacities of international youth organizations and networks to conduct high-quality intercultural youth activities that apply nonformal education principles and have a multiplying effect for their members.
Additionally, it seeks to empower young people to actively uphold, defend, promote, and benefit from the core values of the Council of Europe: human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.
This course will consequently improve the skills and confidence of volunteers and professionals from international youth organizations and networks in organizing and executing international youth activities.
Objectives of the Training Course:
▪ Enhance participants’ organizational skills related to the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of international youth activities.
▪ Boost participants’ competencies to apply non-formal education and intercultural learning methods in their international youth programs.
▪ Develop participants’ understanding and ability to align their organizations’ activities with the priorities, tools, and standards of the Council of Europe.
▪ Provide a platform for youth organizations and networks to contribute meaningfully to the programs of the European Youth Centre and the European Youth Foundation through constructive dialogue.
Programme and Methodology:
The training course program will be grounded in the principles of nonformal and intercultural learning, drawing from the participants’ experiences and practices.
The content and methodology are structured to encourage participants to reflect and discuss the core elements of international youth activities conducted with the Youth Department.
The course will incorporate experiential learning, personal reflection, skill-building workshops, and the exchange of practices among participants, using participatory methods such as working groups and facilitated discussions.
E-learning Phase:
Prior to attending the training course in February, a brief e-learning phase is planned for early February. Participants are expected to dedicate a total of 2-3 hours for this phase. Participation in the e-learning phase is mandatory for all attendees.
