The conference “Building Bridges, Creating Change: The Power of Youth Volunteering” in February 2025 represents a pivotal moment as stakeholders push for renewed ambition in the next phase of EU Youth volunteering.
The primary goal of the conference is to bolster the European Solidarity Corps programme and youth volunteering overall.
Throughout the event, we will emphasize the transformative power of youth volunteering by addressing three main topics:
European Belonging: We will explore how EU volunteering initiatives instill a deep sense of European identity among participants and local communities, highlighting solidarity, democracy, and interculturality to foster shared values and enhance intercultural understanding.
Environmental Leadership: We will demonstrate how volunteering empowers young people as leaders in public mobilization, driving systemic change for environmental sustainability and contributing to a greener Europe.
Empathy and Active Citizenship: We will discuss how EU volunteering promotes empathy and active citizenship, empowering youth as agents of solidarity across diverse communities, shaping inclusive, long-term citizenship paths, and supporting NGOs in crisis response, reflecting the EU’s commitment to unity and compassion.

A mandatory online preparatory meeting of 2 hours with your national delegation will take place in mid-January.
The conference will be held from February 3rd to 6th, 2025.

Tuesday, February 4th: Topic discussions at Crowne Plaza Paris-Republique
Wednesday, February 5th: Plenary discussions at The Economic, Social and Environmental Council (ESEC), followed by a cocktail dinatoire at Crowne Plaza Paris-Republique
