Activity Description:
Since 1964, Le Center Socio-Culturel Jean Wagner has been actively involved in the social development of priority neighborhoods in the city of Mulhouse.
Their mission is to empower young people through various activities, including managing daycares, after-school programs, extracurricular activities, and promoting civic engagement.
Volunteers are guided by experienced professionals in socio-educational animation. Specific tasks include:
Supporting Children with Difficulties: Accompanying students facing challenges.
Environmental Education: Engaging in activities related to shared gardens, educational gardens, reuse, and recycling.
Digital Literacy: Facilitating coding workshops, robotics, and neighborhood journalism.
After-School Animation: Contributing to educational projects at the end of the day.
Volunteers are encouraged to propose and develop specific actions within the public function. Flexibility is possible regarding dates, accommodating the availability of volunteers.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements:
Accommodation: Volunteers will reside in individual rooms within an apartment located in Mulhouse, just 5 minutes from the city center.
Monthly Allowance: Volunteers will receive a monthly allowance of €400 to cover daily expenses and personal costs.
Local Transport: A public transport subscription (including buses and trams) will be provided to volunteers.
Participant Profile:
Ideal volunteers are both young women and men who enjoy interacting with children.
They should possess adaptability, curiosity, excellent communication skills, and an eagerness to engage in collective projects that benefit the community.
