Overview of Banovanija 2024
The upcoming Banovanija 2024 marks the fourth annual Summer Children’s Games.
Set against the backdrop of Glina’s rural landscape, these games offer a beacon of joy for children affected by the region’s economic challenges and the aftermath of the 2020 earthquake.
The initiative aims to enrich the summer break with social engagement, fostering the development of interpersonal skills, friendships, and mentorship, all while allowing children to embrace the joys of youth.
Living Arrangements and Provisions
Volunteers will be accommodated in Donja Mlinoga, within the nurturing environment of the ADRA volunteer center. Shared living spaces among fellow volunteers, along with comprehensive provisions for meals and transport, will be provided.
Training Programs A series of training sessions will be available to volunteers:
An orientation on the unique challenges and context of post-disaster and post-conflict Glina.
Specialized training for engaging and supporting children in the region.
Access to additional training modules based on volunteer interest and initiative.
Ideal Volunteer Profile
We welcome youth with prior experience in child engagement.
Adherence to our child policy is mandatory, which includes a strict no-smoking and no-alcohol stance during all activities.
