Description
The ESC project “RISE” is seeking a team of 12 volunteers to engage in the local Croatian community!
RISE – Reinforcing Inclusion and Social Engagement is a project that enables volunteers from various countries to make a significant impact on the local community by designing and organizing volunteer activities alongside local citizens.
You will participate in activities that promote youth active citizenship, co-organize events, promote the ESC program, and collaborate with NGOs, schools, and locals.
This includes volunteering with schoolchildren and other age groups through the national campaign “Croatia Volunteers,” which brings together citizens, organizations from civil, public, educational, and business sectors annually.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements
We provide accommodation in an equipped and furnished apartment. Volunteers will stay in multi-bed rooms and share a kitchen and bathroom.
Each volunteer will receive 6 euros of daily pocket money (a total of 108 euros). Additionally, volunteers will receive 150 euros in total for food expenses. Volunteers are expected to prepare their own meals in the accommodation.
The trip to Osijek for the ESC service will be covered by the hosting organization. Travel costs will be reimbursed after the activity, provided that you participate in the entire project.
Training During the Activity
DKolektiv will offer the necessary education and training during the initial days of the project. Volunteers will work with experts in the fields of volunteering and community development, as well as experienced youth workers.
Since volunteers will be engaged in activities involving school children, they will receive quality preparation and mentorship. Additionally, bring some older clothes just in case!
Participant Profile
Volunteers should be aged between 18-30 years, with high levels of empathy and solidarity, and a willingness to learn. We expect volunteers to be team players, reliable, and flexible.
Volunteers must have communication and writing skills in English, the ability to adapt to different conditions, and the capability to live with others. Volunteers should be motivated and patient when working with children.
You need to be signed into the European Youth Portal before the activity starts.
