Croatia , Osijek : 2 Weeks Volunteering Project

The ESC project “RISE – Reinforcing Inclusion and Social Engagement” invites 11 motivated volunteers to join the local Croatian community and make a meaningful impact. This initiative brings together young people from different countries to co‑create volunteer actions with local citizens, encouraging active youth participation and strengthening social inclusion.

Volunteers will take part in activities such as:

• Promoting youth active citizenship
  
• Co‑organizing community events
  
• Raising awareness about the ESC program
  
• Collaborating with NGOs, schools, and local residents
  
• Volunteering with schoolchildren and other age groups during the national campaign “Croatia Volunteers”, which annually unites citizens, civil society, public institutions, and businesses in celebrating volunteering.
  

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Transport

• Volunteers will stay in a furnished apartment, sharing multi‑bed rooms, kitchen, and bathroom.
  

Each volunteer will receive €10 daily pocket money (total €180) and €150 for food. Meals will be self‑prepared in the accommodation.

• Travel to Osijek for the ESC service will be covered by the hosting organization.
  
• Travel costs will be reimbursed after the activity, provided the volunteer completes the entire project.

🎓 Training & Preparation

• The hosting organization DKolektiv will provide initial training and orientation.

Volunteers will work alongside experts in volunteering and community development, as well as experienced youth workers. Since activities involve engaging with schoolchildren and elderly citizens, participants will receive tailored preparation and mentorship. (Tip: bring some older clothes for practical activities!)
