Are you passionate about brightening others’ lives? By volunteering at the Tagesförderstätte at Friedehorst, an organization that provides group activities for adults with special needs and illnesses, you can express your creativity and make a significant impact as a volunteer!
The Tagesförderstätte offers programs in the fields of work, employment, and support across 16 different groups. These include support groups, creative groups, work therapy groups, and individual workspaces.
Professionals from various fields such as handicrafts, education, care, and therapy collaborate in an interdisciplinary manner at the day support center. Additionally, they provide project-oriented activities mainly in the afternoons, including theater, gardening, music, cooking, rhythm, and discussion groups.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements
NaturKultur Bremen e.V. will handle all logistical matters as the coordinating organization. Volunteers will be housed in a shared flat or house in Bremen with 4 other ESC volunteers.
You will have your own private bedroom and share the kitchen, bathroom, and other common areas with your fellow volunteers. As an ESC volunteer, you will receive health insurance, monthly pocket money for food and personal expenses (290€ + 210€).
Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on the travel distance (typically between 211-395€).
Training During the Activity
Upon arriving in Bremen, you will have weekly meetings with your mentor to help you acclimate and develop your skills.
Additionally, you will participate in On-Arrival and Mid-term trainings with all ESC volunteers in Germany, as well as a training organized by NaturKultur e.V. for new volunteers.
