ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
If you share our belief in the possibility of a better world, we invite you to join us!
WeWorld Onlus focuses on empowering girls, boys, women, and young people as agents of change in every community, striving for a fairer and more inclusive world.
Our organization assists individuals in overcoming emergencies and ensures a life of dignity by providing opportunities for human and economic development.
Join on our mission in Brazil! As a volunteer, you will support the project team in communicating project activities aimed at enhancing the protection of vulnerable children and their mothers, as well as promoting access to inclusive quality education.
You will gain insight into child protection, inclusion of vulnerable groups, and the production of visibility and promotional materials, such as articles, insights, short videos, photos, and organizing local awareness-raising events.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD, AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS:
You will reside with another volunteer in a shared flat near the office. The hosting organization will cover accommodation costs, utility bills, and provide free Wi-Fi, a local SIM card, and a laptop.
Additionally, you will receive pocket money for personal expenses, including food and local transport.
Travel expenses from your home country to Brazil will be covered by WeWorld, and insurance (Henner) will be activated for the entire duration of your deployment.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY:
You will undergo a pre-departure induction focusing on WeWorld’s theoretical and strategic approaches, practical case studies from our projects, Safety & Security, mentoring, and logistical arrangements.
Upon arrival in Brazil, you will participate in an induction on the programs and your role within the host organization.
We encourage you to engage in training opportunities during your deployment, either online or organized by our national and international partners; you will have a budget for external courses and access to WeWorld’s e-learning platform.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE:
We are seeking motivated individuals who have not previously participated in ESC Humanitarian aid Volunteering, are eager to socialize and immerse themselves in a different culture, and possess adaptability and teamwork skills for a commitment of 10-12 months.
If you are interested in communication, fundraising, and international cooperation, you will receive support from a line manager and mentor throughout your volunteering experience. If you encounter any difficulties or are in a disadvantaged situation (economic, physical, geographical, etc.), please express this during the interview process.
