Twice annually, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) offers five-month traineeships to university graduates (long-term traineeships).
Additionally, short, paid traineeships lasting one, two, or three months are available for university students who are required to complete such a traineeship as part of their studies (short-term traineeships).
These in-service training periods provide an opportunity to familiarize oneself with the EESC’s roles and activities and gain professional experience in a multicultural setting.
They commence on 16 February and 16 September of each year and are held at the Committee’s offices in Brussels. For a brief overview of the EESC’s organizational chart and tasks typically performed by trainees, please refer to the downloads.
Long-term trainees receive a monthly grant in line with the EESC’s traineeship regulations.
For long-term traineeships occurring between 16/02/2024 and 15/02/2025, the grant amount is a fixed sum of 1,376.89 EUR per month. This amount will remain unchanged until the conclusion of the 2024 Autumn session (15/02/2025).
Occasionally, paid traineeships for short periods (one, two, or a maximum of three months) are available for university students who must complete such a traineeship for their studies.
What we offer:
A monthly grant equivalent to 50% of the monthly amount granted to long-term trainees.
A mobility allowance.
A travel allowance (if applicable)
