Volunteers will assist the Caritas Centre in organizing and carrying out recreational activities for local children and youth during a summer camp
Many of these young participants are already beneficiaries of Caritas’s daily social assistance and inclusion programs.
Volunteers will have the chance to propose and organize activities, games, dances, and songs. The primary work hours will be in the morning.
Responsibilities will include overseeing games, sports activities, general time and space management, and providing logistical support, in collaboration with local volunteers.
The group may be divided into smaller teams to ensure efficient organization and task management.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements
Volunteers will stay in a building situated in the heart of Sant’Agata di Militello. Accommodations consist of shared rooms separated by gender, with 4-6 people per room. Toilets and showers are also gender-separated.
Groceries will be provided by the host, and meals will be prepared by the volunteers in the building’s kitchen. Free Wi-Fi is available. Travel expenses will be covered according to the ESC guide based on the Erasmus+ distance calculator.
Training During the Activity
Training will be provided upon arrival.
Participant Profile
Looking for volunteers who:
Are aged between 18-30
Have an interest in supporting organizations that work with and for vulnerable individuals
Are interested in the project’s themes (social inclusion, assistance, solidarity)
Are willing to engage with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds and with various vulnerabilities
Are eager to actively participate, be flexible, and engage in manual work
Are open-minded, sociable, and empathetic
