Description:
This ESC activity will take place at a sustainable initiative farm, where volunteers will engage with examples of best practices in low environmental impact rural living.
The program will feature various practical activities with explanations from different areas of sustainable practices, including permaculture farming, natural building, community living, social permaculture, social entrepreneurship, energy resources, water cycle management on the estate, and natural cosmetics.
Working hours will be 7 hours a day, including cooking and cleaning. We start at 8 AM and finish at 4 PM, with a 1-hour break.
After work, there will be free time for rest, connecting with others, and activities like walking.
The goal of the activity is to live together on the farm, embracing village life, while taking care of ourselves and each other, building new connections, and learning from one another.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport Arrangements:
FOOD: Meals will be vegetarian, and we will cook together. When possible, we aim to use local and/or organic ingredients.
ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation will be simple but comfortable, in shared huts or tents. If you prefer more privacy, you can bring your own tent. Mats and extra blankets will be provided.
We use dry compost toilets and solar showers. All facilities are outdoors. Costs for food, accommodation, and travel (the rate for covered travel costs depends on the distance) will be covered.

WHO: Young people (18-30 years old) interested in sustainability, willing to collaborate in a group of 15 people, eager to experience a simple lifestyle on a farm (no public transport), and willing to live and work outside in nature.
